How I would have done it. :D

So I found this on Miriam and Daniel's blog. It made me so happy! And I realized something. I
would have done this if I knew it exsisted. For those of you who don't know, Dustin and I got
married one afternoon in our bishops office, with only our bishop his wife and two of our friends
as witnesses. I haven't regretted it at all and still don't. If we were to do it over, though,
I would have done this. That's the first time in my whole life that I have thought to do things
differently. :D hahahahha. So fun!

Memory Lane

The other day, we went on a trip down Memory Lane. It was actually fun. I don't know about the others, but it was painless for me, and I was not expecting it to be. I have quite a few bad memories of American Fork. I have a hard time going back there, but it was great. We actually hoped to spend quite a bit of time a Star Mill, but we got there only to find out that it was only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Phooey. Oh well. Like I said, it was great fun. We ended up at the DI and I love DI. Especially ones that are new to me. :) I got a little red wagon for $5. For Miaya, of course. Good times. And Miriam found quite a few cool books. Like the Chinese dictionary. It was pretty cool. Then we drove out to where we used to live, and it is now a big shed thing. And there's a big school bus depot across the street where there used to be only fields. We drove out by Utah lake, and by our old chapel. And through the neighborhood by the church. And then we went to this park. I don't know what it's called, but I remember going to a youth conference here, and this is also the park where Daniel proposed to Miriam. Good times.

hope you laugh

I chuckle like a silly bean when I watch this. I become all wilty and such. Excellent.

And I figured I should go on a blogging binge, albeit and pathetic one, to make up for my lack of blogging.

Twilight midnight release parties

Woo hoo! Apparently we here in the Salt Lake Valley may or may not have some fancy pants from the Twilight Movie at the Midnight release parties for the DVD. Check it out.

I feel happy. I hope it lasts. :D

Excited

A week from this Saturday is our 6th Anniversary. I'm pretty excited. I really suck at giving gifts that people actually like. hahahaha. It's one of my many shortcomings. I have put much thought into this, though, and I hope Dustin likes something that I get him. I looked into the traditional 6th anniversary gift, and it's candy and iron. Weird, huh? Well, the candy kinda sucks because Dustin doesn't really like candy. I will get him the one candy I know he likes: Reeses Peanut butter cups. I hope he doesn't read this. Hopefully it will be after our anniversary before he does. hehehehe. I am also getting him these cool ratcheting wrenches. There are two, and they each have four different sized fastener things. I won't put everything I'm giving him on here. I think I'm going to go with 6 things for the 6 years. I really, really want to surprise him. Last year was difficult, because I had just lost the baby, so we were grieving. This year, we are in a better place, so I want to celebrate. :) We might go camping. That sounds good to me. We will probably freeze. It's our ward conference that weekend, but I want to spend time with my family, so I shall. They can do without us for one week. Yay for fun things to look forward to.

I also got my new glasses. They are the coolest glasses EVER. I love them both. I wore a pair on Sunday, and the young women were all like "Why did you get glasses?" and such. It wasn't very complimentary. hahahaha. It made me laugh. A couple of them came up to me after church and were discussing them with me. One asked me again why I got glasses. I told her because I couldn't see without them. She was like "Oh" and then the other young woman told me she didn't like them. It was great. I told them both that I loved the glasses, and that I thought they were the coolest. They didn't think so. I love that I don't care what other's think of me, and what I like. We all went away from the conversation friends. hahahahahaha.

Collections

The thought occured to me sometime this morning: I have some odd collections. Some are quite run of the mill, others, just odd.

The first: coins. I like all sorts. New, old, foreign, and defaced.

Second: stamps. I got a letter from Lete when she was in England, and that's where I got those queen ones. I like the fruit ones. They are fun.

Third: worry dolls. This one is an interesting one. When I was in 8th grade, I took Spanish for the first time. The teacher of the class, Mr. Felix, used to let us play Bingo with the dinero he gave out in class. As a result of one of these Bingo tournaments, I won these worry dolls. Apparently you tell these little dolls all your worries, and then stick them under your pillow, and by morning, when you wake up, the dolls have taken the worries away. A little strange, and yet I still have them, and have accrued more when I find them.

Fourth: dice. I don't know how, but somehow I have a small collection of dice. I can't remember why or how I have any of these.

Fifth: pins. This is too is an accidental collection. And yes, I really do keep them in the carquest fuse box. Except the three largest ones. The lid won't close with them in it.

Sixth: books. I like them a lot. These are just the ones I have organized on my pretty bookcase.

I have other collections too: pictures, postcards, scrapbooks, tins, scrapbooking supplies, rocks, shells, and the list goes on. I try not to get too carried away, but sometimes, one does.
