We have acquired the internet legitimately and so now we have it for a year at least. hahaha. Much has happened, but things are much the same. Lets see:
Dustin's job is doing well. He does a good job, and his boss likes him, the big contract folks like him, and the guys he works with like him, and he seems to be liking how things are going too. Obviously, not everyone is going to love you all the time, but as a whole, things are going well for Dustin at work.
With the economy not doing so well, it's a bit of a relief to live in Utah, where things go their own crazy way, for the most part. Jobs are available here. It doesn't seem, in my neighborhood, that many people are losing their homes. It probably helps that none of the houses are worth more than $200,000. Anyways.
Miaya is so big. She's going to be taller than me by the time she's five. Ten, tops. hahaha. She talks more than any two year old I know, and is incredibly cheeky. Her favorite things to say right now are "Be Quiet!" "Go Away!" "Let's sing" "Guess what?" among others. She is bossy too. haha. She's very sure, sometimes, of what she wants and will go to great lengths to get it. She loves the leaves right now, that are everywhere. She likes to run through them, and kick them around. She's a lot of fun to watch. She's very affectionate when she wants to be, and for that I am greatful. She loves Harry Potter (the movies), Finding Nemo, and Lilo and Stitch, the Jungle Book, and occasionally the Little Mermaid, when it comes to movies. She loves books, and Dustin's jeep stories at bedtime. Her favorite being about Danny's rollover. Go figure. She likes to type too. She wants to add something, so here she goes:
cfn bbryvvvvvvvvgfvgvv6
She can say her numbers, and knows what 2 is. She knows that letters are letters but doesn't know which name goes with which letter. She likes numbers and letters. Her hair is getting darker, so people comment on it all the time. It's annoying when people are like "Is she EVER going to get hair?!" and I want to smack them. hahahaha. Just because she has way more hair now than she has ever had. hahahahaha. It's dumb, I know. But she's doing really well too.
Me, I am in a good place. I went through and organized a large chunk of the house last week, and that has given me an excellent sense of well-being. Getting rid of stuff always does. :) And having a cleaner house too. I'm trying to get healthy, so I've been trying to walk and use my eliptical trainer and my yoga dvd, and every time I work out, I feel really good. It's just a matter of sticking with it, I suppose. I've got things I want to do and accomplish, and being healthy is one of those things. I am enjoyin being able to stay at home with Miaya. I feel so blessed to be able to. Our home is a happy and comfortable place for me and for my family, and others who come here. I like that.
I'm really excited at the possibility of having family members living closer. :D And worried, too, about those who will be so far away. But, that's the way it goes. I think I'm just rambling now. Enough for now.

P.S.
I found these pics online. Apparently I like some of Annie Leibovitz's work. She has some ugly stuff out there too, but I really like these Disney ones. They are lovely. Well, the Drew Barrymore one isn't Disney, those are Vogue pics, but lovely none the less. I looked at that particular issue of Vogue on ebay to see how much it was, and it's $15.00. What the crap?

I also found a cool blog. It is Normal Mormon Husband. I've linked it on the right, under blogs. I think it's brilliant. hahahaha. and funnny too. check it out.
And I am obsessed with many things. Here are a few: the twilight series (delicious) and anything Stephenie Meyer, the inheritance cycle (it's been way to long), Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie (will it ever have a trailer?), and the twilight movie. So excited. I am, really.

Big head
So I love the pictures I take, for the most part. I think it's bigheaded of me, but c'est la vie. hahaha. I hope to do something with the pics I take someday. Who knows? I want to get better. I love Ansel Adams. He inspires some of my pictures. I am not even remotely comparing myself to him, just stating that I enjoy his work. But yeah, I am boring today, and my last post was too. I think it's because Dustin is gone, and for one reason or another, it makes me a bit flat. I am better today, though, than I was yesterday, and on Monday.
We are having cheese and crackers and grapes for snack. I love this combination. love it love it love it. So does anyone read my posts? just curious. I am wondering if I have been writing for myself lately, which is fine. It's a good creative and venting outlet for me. Dustin and I had a pretty big to do the other week, and it was sooooo awful. We haven't ever had a fight like that before. And hopefully never again. But in the middle of it all, I sat at the computer and poured my guts out, and now it is in my journal. I try to include good and bad and all sorts of stuff. I don't want posterity to think that life is just a walk through the roses, because it isn't. Life has ups and downs, and love and hate, and good and bad, and boring bits, and adventurous bits. Marriage too. I want them to know that just because you have disagreements and misunderstanding, it doesn't mean you should run away from them. It means you have to work harder, and be constantly vigilant as Mad Eye Moody says. ;) Against anything that may tear you or your family apart. Anything.
Now my soapbox-ing is done. hahahahaha. I guess not so boring afterall. At least for me. hehe.

Oakland, CA
I just wanted to put this picture here because I like it. It's from our Farmington Canyon wheeling trip.
Our camera wasn't working last week, so we figured it was broken. We thought that it would be harmless to take it apart, because things could only get better. By we, I mean Dustin. hahaha. So he took it all apart, and this is what it looks like naked. But he was able to get it all put back together after a few tries and a midnight run to Wal-Mart to get small enough screw drivers. All so he could take it with him to Oakland. Works for me, because it is fixed now. :) Dustin is a handy dandy.
So Dustin is in Oakland until Thursday, which is Pioneer Day. Dustin gets Friday off instead of Thursday, because he is "working" on Thursday. He's actually flying back on Thursday and he'll be here around 3pm. hahahaha. I like it. He got there yesterday, and he said he will never think of West Valley as ghetto ever again. Those are my words, not his, but that is the gist of it. hahahaha.
I guess the distribution center there in Oakland got robbed a couple of weeks ago, and that is the only one in the whole world that has ever been robbed. Insane. Also, Dustin and Grayson, the other guy who went with him, figured they would ask the locals where to go and the what to see and where to eat, because they know best. Well, they all said to go to San Fransisco. hahahaha. They didn't say anywhere in Oakland. They said to go across the bay. How sad. But good to know too. Dustin has the camera, so I will post pics later when he gets back. They went to Fisherman's Wharf and had some good seafood. :D And they said they were going to try to find the windy road. I don't know what its called, but I hope they find it. hahaha. Maybe Dustin won't dislike California so much after this trip. hahahhaaha. It's cold there. Like 55 degrees this morning. So nutty.

Miaya and I went to the park today. This park is pretty cool, it has these water jet things that shoot out of the ground, and it's hot outside, so it was lovely. There is also this yucky little green stream, full of algae, so of course, Miaya preferred it to the clean water jets. hahaha. It was fun though. She got to see these itty bitty fish, or tadpoles. I think they were fish. It was fun, and sunny. Interestingly enough, I saw some huge gray clouds floating in our direction, so we went home, and about 30 mins after we got home, it started pouring rain, and thundering, and lightning a bit. It was awesome. It rained for a good half an hour, at least. Solid rain. It was great. I love the summer thunderstorms here. Beautiful.

Miaya playing
July 5, 2008
Miaya likes to play. She saw the bigger folks playing, so she wanted to join the fun. hahahha. She decided to use the big ball instead of the little birdie thinger. She's a nut, but a fun nut.
